Autumn is the perfect time for a visit to the Harrogate district. With the days still longer and the sun casting some warmth it is time to enjoy a slower pace and take in the wonder of nature changing with the beautiful autumn colours.

For nature lovers take in the beauty of the Yorkshire Dales, explore the wildlife walking the many reservoirs, woods and moors. The Nidderdale AONB is ideal to look out for the local wildlife and there are many lovely walks we can recommend.

If History is your thing you can travel back in time exploring sites such as Fountains Abbey, Ripon Workhouse and Prison museums, grand buildings and stately homes.

Shoppers will love Harrogate which is easy to navigate with well known chain stores and a great independent shopping experience. Venture further afield on a short train ride to York or Leeds for a bigger selection.

Food and Drink aficionados will be amazed at the selection of fabulous restaurants and bars to visit – a short break isn’t enough! For a Family Half Term break we offer the whole house for a group of family or friends to get together. Sleeping 8-14 you can have the whole house to yourselves for a relaxing break. We still have availability at the moment. There are great Halloween activities for kids at Lightwater Valley theme park and Stockeld Adventure park.
